In a regular meeting of the Ventura County Board of Supervisors the leasehold lease was ratified for Brighton Management to redevelop the former Casa Sirena Hotel and Lobster Trap Restaurant on the Harbor’s Peninsula. The lease agreement includes the complete reconstruction of the Casa Sirena Hotel and Lobster Trap Restaurant. Brighton will also build all new parking lots, an 8 – 10 foot wide waterside promenade and a new restroom facility for boaters at Peninsula Yacht Anchorage.
Demolition should begin in 2016, with construction to be completed by late 2017 or early 2018 at an estimated cost of $30 million.

The new hotel and resturant for the CI harbor I like . The brige across the harbor i would hope would be removed and a ferry boat crossing substituted . A fun area Including fast food be provided for use of all not just boat storage . Emphasis on other than stink pot boats, shell rowing would be a sport for all with racing contests .sailing races starting off shore . The unused navy bsse ares acquired and added to the public C I County Harbor .
