Christmas Tree Display

The holiday spirit will be shining bright this year at Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Hotel & Resort as the hotel rings in the season by working with the community to give back to those in need.  Hoping to start a new tradition, Embassy Suites is calling out to Ventura County businesses and non-profits to participate in a Christmas Tree Display benefitting charities.

The program works like this.  Participants decorate their own Christmas tree the weekend before Thanksgiving and the decorated trees will be put on display in  the hotel lobby and other designated areas of the hotel for a five week period.  The trees will be supported and sponsored by local companies and the public will have an opportunity to cast a “vote” for their favorite tree or charity.  The sponsorship levels range from $200 to $500, depending on the location of the tree within the hotel.

In December, the Embassy Suites will host a reception to showcase the trees featuring local choirs, musicians and, or course, Santa himself.  Food and refreshments will be served.  The money raised from the event will be awarded to the winning charity.

Donations will be accepted beginning November 1.  The trees will be on display at the Embassy Suites through the first week of January 2012.
